Who am I and why do I blog?

Have you ever heard someone say that in order to be a success you have to surround yourself with like-minded people? Well, I want to be a success but I don’t know in what particular field particularly because I haven’t found my passion in life yet. And considering that my life has defined me as a caregiver right now, I feel I need to find others like me. But it’s hard to find grandchildren who are caring for their grandparent(s), while caring for a blind diabetic dog, while working a full time job in Chicago, while trying to find purpose and passion via Super Soul Sunday. So I’ve gone to the internet and I blog as an outlet and as a means to connect with others who are strong enough to put their hardships out there in an effort to work through the mess, obtain validation and find support and clarity. Because that’s all I’m trying to do too.

  1. Very honest reasons πŸ™‚ My blog started as a food blog but it has evolved in a lot of ways. Now it serves as my inspiration to find my real passions in life. Hopefully blogging can also do that for you! Wishing you the best!

    • Hi Kat! Thanks so much. Finding one’s passion is a tricky thing and is actually a bit stressful for me. It’s good to hear I’m not the only one out there trying to find my way.

  2. I overthink too. Mind is constantly working out. I’d look like a skeleton if my body worked out even half of that. I’ve read different typed of books… Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of books written by Echkart Tolle, Brian Weiss, Thich Nhat Hanh… I’m currently reading ‘The Happiness Project’ written by Gretchen Rubin.
I posted a photo of some of my favorite books here: https://timelesswheel.wordpress.com/2015/12/12/insight/

    • Oh man, I love Echkart Tolle! But have been intimidated to read A New Earth. It’s sitting on my dresser now along with Michael Singer’s Untethered Soul <– this changed my thinking and made my first shift– and Don Miguel Ruiz's The Four Agreements. I think I'll give Gretchen Rubin's book a try. =)

      • A new earth was a very good read. It focuses a lot on the Ego, more so than the power of now… I’m looking forward to reading Untethered soul and The four agreements now. I always have some book to buy! Just bought Khaled Hosseini’s ‘And the mountains echoed’ the other day.
